The cutting edge of Cypress Creek EMS response

April 2009, Cypress Creek EMS opened the doors to their new Communication Center. With a year behind them, CCEMS officials have said the results have been promising.

“The Cypress Creek EMS service area is about 250 square miles with about 400,000 people in territory. The service area of our Communication Center including all the servicers we also take in is about 400 miles with about 1,000,000 people,” IT Manager Toivo Sari said.

Donation drive for bicycle helmets under way

Houston Northwest Medical Center is sponsoring a monetary donation drive to purchase bicycle helmets for Cypress Creek EMS’ (CCEMS) bike rodeo program. Proceeds from the drive will help purchase helmets for local children who participate in the program that is designed to increase awareness of bicycle safety. Donations can be made until Thursday, September 30 in a monetary donation box that has been placed in the Women’s Atrium of the hospital, located at 710 FM 1960 Road West.

First Annual Survivor’s Luncheon to Celebrate Life

Mobile Bike Rodeo Training

Cypress Creek EMS, with support from the Houston Northwest Medical Center, has launched an updated bike safety program. With a grant received in August of 2008, CCEMS was able to purchase a bike rodeo trailer full of all of the equipment needed for a successful bike rodeo. This trailer is taken to schools and community events. In addition to the education provided, CCEMS gives free helmets to children in need.
